The Word “Similitude”

Seaside 1A

I recently did a word study on the word “Similitude” and this is what I learned:

“God speaks to us in similitudes. Impressions, powerful images of the mind. Something you see and you know it like you know your own name. All of sudden something hits you, it’s not just a feeling, it’s more than a feeling. The Bible calls it a similitude. An image, like a picture that takes hold of you. You see it and it’s in your spirit.”

Have you experienced a similitude?

“I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.” Hosea 12:10, KJV
